Auditor General of Pakistan calls on Governor-KP

Governor Haji Ghulam Ali on Monday said that educational institutions play a key role in cultivating ethical norms, personality traits and character building of the students and termed education as the passport to success.
He said that after family and society educational institutions have a considerable role in the young generation’s character building and steering society towards its right direction.
Haji Ghulam Ali said that modern age has left very negative impacts on youth and deprived them of decency, values and traditions.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor expressed these views while addressing the participants of mobile screening project ceremony here at Shaheed Ahmed Elahi School Gulbahar.
According to a statement issued here from KP Governor House, Haji Ghulam Ali inaugurated a lab where Free vision check-up, free medicines and eye glasses will be provided to children studying in government schools under the auspices of Khyber Eye Foundation.
The governor also inspected various classrooms in the school and interacted with students of the school.
The governor also inspected the equipment for checking children’s vision organized by the Khyber Eye Foundation and also met the medical staff. In the ceremony, the caretaker provincial ministers Adnan Jalil, Rahmat Salam Khattak, Fazal Elahi, Chairman Khyber Eye Foundation Mohammad Ghayoor Sethi, Life Patron Dr. Mohammad Dawood Khan, Director Education, Abdul Jalil Jan, Luqman Shah and other participated.
Chief Minister KP Aide on Education Rehmat Salam Khattak, Chairman Khyber Eye Foundation Mohammad Ghayoor Sethi, Life Pattern Dr. Mohammad Dawood Khan also spoke on the occasion and shed light over the purpose of the project.
The Governor commended the initiative of Khyber Eye Foundation to provide free vision check-ups, free medicines and spectacles to children in government schools and said that poor children are educated in government schools and those children get free eye care.
Mr Ali paid tribute to Khyber Eye Foundation for taking this good responsibility and said that the foundation services in the field of eye would be remembered for a long time, adding that provision of free medicine and medical checkup for poor segments of the society is tantamount to worship and an acute act of humanity.
He expressed his determination that pragmatic steps would be taken and all available resources would be utilized to serve the community at their doorstep.
Haji Ghulam Ali also announced one million rupees for the Khyber Eye Foundation for the treatment of children and providing all the necessary medicines for this good cause.
He said that today it has become a modern hospital due to his hard work and passion, which started the project of free treatment of school children of the entire district, for which I pay tribute to the hospital administration and doctors.
Separately, Auditor General of Pakistan Mohammad Ajamal Gondal and Accountant General KP Murtaza Khan called on Haji Gulam Ali at the Governor House. The meeting discussed the role of transparency for good governance and service delivery.
The forum discussed the performance and duties of the Audit Generals in accurate utilization of government funds for the development of the society.
