Bishop Humphrey Sarfaraz amember of St John,s Cathedral has rejected the government plan ofprivatizing the Edward College Peshawar asserting that the government would deprived the Christian community of their basic rights.
He appealed to the Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan to look into matter andissue order and save the historical old college from privatization. Bishop Humphrey Sarfaraz said that Edward College Peshawar was the property of the Christian community the provincial government should take concert steps for its rehabilitation, adding that privatization of the college is against the rights of the minority community.
He said that Edward College Peshawaris the property of the Diocese of Peshawar and its privatization means that the provincial government is working against the rights of the Christian community.
