ISLAMABAD : Minister for planning and development Asad Umar has said the Eid should be celebrated with simplicity as per Prime Minister (PM) directives.
He said this while presiding over meeting of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC0 here Saturday.
The participants were briefed on implementation and violations of precautionary measures in cattle markets in connection with Eid ul Azha.
The forum was told that illegal cattle markets were shut all over the country. Fines were imposed on them and legal action was taken against them.
Briefing was also given on the violations which were observed to have been committed through use of digital technology.
It was told during the meeting that 527 illegal markets were shut throughout the country. They include 269 in Punjab, 255 in KP AND 31 in Islamabad.
Asad Omar said that we should celebrate Eid with simplicity as per PM directives and avoid gathering on this occasion. We should also avert going to recreational sports. Social distancing norms be observed while offering Eid prayers. Enforcement of precautionary measures will be ensured at every cost in cattle markets.
