Eight injured in suicide attack on FC vehicle in Peshawar

A suicide attack blast near a paramilitary forces vehicle left at least eight people injured.
The blast took place near the vehicle of FC in the Hayatabad area of the provincial capital, said police on Tuesday.
However, no causality was reported till writing of this report. The police and the rescue officials reached the spot.
The police cordoned off the entire area while the rescue workers shifted the injured to the nearby hospital for medical aid.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Peshawar Haroon Rashid confirmed the suicide blast saying that the explosion took place near Frontier Corps (FC) vehicle. The injured persons have been identified as Hidayat, Zahid, Sheraz, Hussain, Wahab, Mutaqi, Ishaq, and Saifullah.
Police have cordoned off the area and launched a comprehensive search operation in the area, police said, adding that the injured of the incidents have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
Medical director of the Hayatabad Medical Complex, professor Shehzad Akbar Khan, confirmed that the hospital received two people who were wounded by the explosion and that both were in stable condition. He said the remaining injured men were taken to another hospital, CMH.
