Islamabad: Speaking to the media later, Elahi reiterated his support for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying that he will continue to stand firm with the former ruling party despite difficult circumstances. “Even if they make thousands of cases against me, it won’t matter. I have a strong legal team and I am standing firmly [with PTI],” he added. To a question about the elements behind cases against him, the PTI leader said that everyone knows them. “You all know who are behind the cases. These poor police officials have no role to play. I am giving a message to those [elements] today that neither are we against the army nor are we doing anything against it. Sit down with us and talk. We are willing to correct ourselves where we were wrong,” he added. News Desk
