ISLAMABAD
Election Commissioner has called important meeting of all four provincial election commissioners and all election commission wings on Nov 22. Ten months remaining to the general election but election commission is ready if the early election is announced. Election commission is ready with plan A and plan B and paper has been purchased for ballot papers, non sensitive material has also been purchased and the printing of all material is cnontinue. Source told that election commission has completed the constituencies and election lists have been updated.
Polling staff’s data has been collection and number of polling stations and where they will be, all the data is ready
Plan is ready to train election staff and the use of result management system (RMS).
Returning Officers and Deputy Returning Officers lists and data has also been prepared.
Source told that judiciary and establishments are contacting since three months, government officials, ROs and DROs lists have been prepared.
Transfers and appointments of government officials continues so the appoint of ROs and DROs will be made closer to the election.
Decision is still in delay to take Returning Officers (RO) from bureaucracy or judiciary. Judiciary, Bureaucracy and election commission officers are three categories for Returning officers (RO) and election commission officers are always ready.
