AJK election – 2026
MUZAFFARABAD: AJK Election Commission has announced to postpone August 10 polling in all constituencies in district Poonch and Palandri in the third phase of general election -2026 in Azad Kashmir due to law and order situation. According to press release issued by AJK Election Commission spokesperson this decision has been taken in view of reservations regarding law and order, applications received from some political personalities and candidates and information received from respective agencies. As per media report the spokesperson made it clear polling will not be held in the electoral constituencies of district Poonch and Palandri on August 10 while polling will be held in three electoral constituencies of district Bagh and one electoral constituency of district Haveli on August 10 as per schedule.
The new date and revised election schedule in respect of the constituencies where the elections has been postponed will be announced after reviewing the situation and keeping in view all the related matters.
