ISLAMABAD
Total Power generation in the country increased by 13% YoY to 14,657 GWh during May 2022 at a cost of Rs13.15 per unit, compared to 13,010 GWh in May 2021 at the cost of Rs5.7 per unit, monthly power production , data released by the National Electric Power Authority (NEPRA) disclosed. The increase in electricity production was backed by the increase in demand due to an increase in temperature. Resultantly, higher generation from nuclear, FO, wind, solar and baggasse respectively.
