PESHAWAR: District administration in a joint operation with Capital Metropolitan Government (CMPG) and Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) demolished dozens of illegal constructions and encroachments at Arbab Road on University Road on Wednesday. In the grand anti-encroachment operation initiated under the public agenda of the provincial government, was also participated by the administrative officers of PDA, CMPG. APP
A heavy contingent of police was also present to avert any toward incident. During the operation, dozens of illegal constructions and encroachments were removed through heavy machinery.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Sarmad Saleem Akram has said that the demolished constructions and encroachments were creating hurdles in the movement of the pedestrians and were also affecting the flow of traffic that prompted the administration to demolish them by using heaving machinery.
He said that the ongoing indiscriminate anti-encroachment operation will continue in all localities of the district and stern action will be taken against those re-erecting their encroachments.
