Chief Justice (CJ) Islamabad High Court (IHC) Athar Minallah has remarked enforced disappearance is treason and the treason case is made in enforced disappearance.
He gave these remarks during the hearing of the case of Mudassar Naro recovery case here Friday.
Additional Attorney General (AAG) and amicus curiae appeared in the court.
CJ IHC Athar Minallah remarked enforced disappearances in the country running under constitution are not acceptable. Is it the failure of state institution not to trace Mudassar Naro. Federal government and provincial governments were to see this all. Can any one be made missing without their willingness. it can not be done so.
CJ IHC remarked it is incompetence of state if people go missing. Then they are not traced. Terrorism clauses are applied to enforced disappearance. If state institutions are not under control of executive then executive is responsible. As to why the chief executive should not be held responsible.
