ARIFWALA: A former councillor was shot dead by dacoits in 205EB village within the jurisdiction of Ahmad Yar police station, Arifwala. Muhammad Ashraf was asleep on the roof of the turbine on his land when the dacoits shot him dead, Rescue 1122 said. The rescue service recovered his dead body and handed it over to Ahmad Yar police. The police shifted the body to the hospital for post-mortem and started investigations. DNA
