Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party made it clear that injustice and corruption couldn’t be wiped out until the crafting of a transparent system.
Shah warned that adopting an unjust way and feeble economy were posing a threat to the state, keeping in view its detrimental impacts and seriousness, institutions should play their proactive role.
The ATP couldn’t withdraw from provision of public authority and justice and would sustain its efforts to bring true public representative government, he added.
Election commission till date is seeking assistance that has fostered its weakness, partiality and unimportant election, Shah said while talking to the party’s candidates for National and Provincial Assemblies here on Wednesday.
We want to see strengthening of institutions and an impartial system. Faiq said if it (ECP) didn’t adhere to the constitution and law, an impartial, independent and autonomous election commission should be constituted by resigning the incumbent setup. We should give authority to people at any cost for which movement throughout the country has already arisen. The party leader said accountability, election and justice and everything has become ambiguous because present and past practice is testament. He went on to say that forgiving elites and taking revenge from the powerless people was a hurdle in the way of justice.
Paving way for some special party and segment is a path of rigging and selection, and people cannot endorse it, Shah added. The ATP chief said the history of accountability is filled with maliciousness.
He added results come zero despite the spending of billions of rupees.
Shah asked to give importance to the manifesto for impartial and transparent elections. Not personalities, the election commission and justice institutions should hold accountability and assessment on the basis of manifesto.
He suggested public representatives and boards should have authority to depose the government and cabinet, in case of the failure to implement the manifesto.
