Faiq demands compensation package for floods, rains hit areas

Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman, Muhammad Faiq Shah has expressed deep concern over inability in prompt response and initiation of relief activities in flash floods and rain affected areas of the country. He demanded the announcement of a compensation package for colossal damages in this natural calamity.
Talking to the media here on Wednesday, Faiq expressed high sympathy with people of floods and rains that hit areas Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
“We ready to assist people of flash floods and torrential rains affected areas of the country in their time testing situations”,
Shah vowed that they will raise voice for affectees at every forum. He also reiterated his firm resolve that they will hold strict accountability and assessment of the institutions.
He instructed the party’s workers to identify the affected families, and they will fully support them.
The ATP chairman stressed the farming community should need to be pulled out from the crisis situation, if not do so, a worst form of food scarcity would be created.
Shah questioned: “How can the country run while depending of imports”?
All institutions have been made redundant owing to government’s incompetence and extravagant, he noticed.
Furthermore, he observed no institution has turned timely into action in calamity and emergency situations.
He lamented that the contingency plan didn’t prepare despite forecasts of heavy rains in the country.
Faiq observed that houses have been inundated with rain water in Karachi, Balochistan and other parts of the country.
He said people have faced hardships owing to torrential rains.
Shah questioned: “Is speed of Shehbaz would be accelerated then institutions could come into action?
It’s called a bad way of governance and administration, he added.
The ATP chairman stressed that it is a dire need of hour to highly focus on strengthening institutions and their central point of public service.
However, he said it is unfortunate that this habit wasn’t adopted by rulers.
The party leader noted people who have been attached with the education, health, economy, and agriculture sector, all of them extremely worrisome.
He asked: “Where are claimants of mainstream political parties”?
Faiq described check and balance through a comprehensive network is key for enhancement of fundamental skills of institutions.
Today, he opined modern sources are available.
He emphasized that institutions should be activated to make them as arbores of service.
Shah suggested that a public authority board should be constituted in every national institution, which has a task to monitor performance of the relevant public authorities.
Otherwise, he made it clear that mismanagement, bribery, cheating in educational institutions, as well as tendency of destruction and downturn couldn’t be eliminated.
