PESHAWAR
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Population Welfare Department, Malik Liaquat Ali Khan, has stated that providing basic facilities to people is dependent on population welfare and family planning.
He said that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur, is prioritizing population welfare, adding that relief for the people is a key part of the public agenda
“Everyone should work together with sincerity and honesty for Pakistan’s development,” he said.
He expressed these views at a seminar for District Population Welfare Officers, emphasizing the importance of population welfare and family planning in providing basic facilities to the people and achieving development goals.
The seminar titled “Sensitization on National Narrative for Population Welfare Growth (TAWAZUN)” was held here in Peshawar.
Secretary of Population Welfare Department Imad Ali Lohani, Director General of Population Welfare Ayesha Ahsan and district officers of population welfare participated in the seminar.
In the seminar, a detailed briefing was given to the special assistant by the department on one year’s performance.
Addressing the seminar, Malik Liaquat Ali Khan, said that we have to keep pace with the world, otherwise we will be left behind in the modern age.
He said that the supply of food, water, health facilities and other resources becomes difficult with the increasing population.
Family planning improves the health of mothers and children and reduces complications during childbirth.
Malik Liaquat Ali Khan said that small families can do better financial planning and provide good education and training to children, which helps in reducing problems like unemployment, poverty and homelessness.
