The series of accusations against the leadership of Pakistan People’s Party started from 1970. Because this party is considered to be the spokesperson of the workers of Pakistan as well as the pioneer of class struggle in Pakistan. Hence, the elites and the forces occupying the resources of Pakistan had an enmity with the Pakistan Peoples Party from day one which continues to this day.Those who accused the leadership of Pakistan People’s Party never differentiated what kind of accusations they are and on whom, these accusations were faced by dozens of women of PPP including Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Sahiba to Faryal Talpur, almost all females leaders of PPP somehow went through character assassination of some sort
In the eyes of the powerful circles of Pakistan, being related to the Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto family has been considered the biggest crime of the Zardari family. Due to which Asif Ali Zardari, Mir Manwar Talpur and Faryal Talpur and other members of Zardari family have been targeted. Otherwise, no case was ever filed against Asif Ali Zardari or his family before his marriage to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Who would have thought that even after Shaheed Bibi, this family would continue to be targeted and then we saw that along with Asif Ali Zardari, his sister Faryal Talpur was imprisoned by Imran Khan’s fascist government in a false case.
And her arrest was also made at midnight as if she would overthrow Imran’s government and seize power in the morning. While criticizing the Islamabad Police for bringing Fawad Chaudhry to court today with a veil over his face, why does PTI forget that Faryal Talpur, who was an MPA and before that a member of the National Assembly, was armed during his tenure? The prisoner was brought in a police car, was she an al-Qaeda terrorist?
Why do those who mourn the arrest of Shireen Mazari, Azam Swati etc. forget that during their government Faryal Talpur, who was admitted in hospital, was dragged out of the ward and arrested.
And when Faryal Talpur was examined and her ECG was done after arrest, the doctor said, “How did you get arrested? Your health is not good, but she responded that I am ready like the soldiers of Shaheed BB sahiba and Shaheed Bhutto. For the survival of democracy, I am ready to face what may come in may , these prisons can’t let our morale down.
After hearing this, the prison administration kept her in solitary confinement where it was difficult to breathe, where the light did not even reach and this scene was witnessed by the prison staff and the women prisoners there also witnessed that how a sick woman was subjected to mental torture by keeping her in solitary confinement.
How the people of Sindh can forget that when a daughter of Sindh was kept in solitary confinement in Adiala Jail, there was not even a fan in her cell, but for few VVIP prisoners we have seen ACs were also installed in the same Adiala.
Faryal Talpur was the only woman in Jail who was subjected to a lot of hardships and mental torture, so that somehow she would give up. And in this case, the brother Asif Ali Zardari will also be helpless in front of the PTI government and thus Imran Khan will be able to become the king from Sindh to Khyber, but Faryal Talpur held the PPP’s flag high and proved that it is not possible to divert PPP leaders and workers from the path of democracy. Their morale can not be broken by putting them in jails.
Imran Khan will have to apologize to Faryal Talpur and Sindh, if not today, then sooner or later he would apologise as he is known for taking Uturns. We the people of Sindh can forget everything but cannot tolerate insulting our sisters and daughters. Faryal Talpur has proved that she is an inspiration and a true follower of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
