PESHAWAR
Electricity supply has been restored to Hamid Colony and adjoining areas along Dalazak Road after a faulty transformer was replaced following prompt intervention by Superintendent of Faqirabad Division Haseeb.
The area had remained without electricity for nearly two days after the transformer developed a fault, causing considerable hardship for residents amid the prevailing hot weather. Women, children and elderly people were particularly affected by the prolonged power outage.
A delegation of local residents approached Superintendent Haseeb and apprised him of the situation, requesting immediate replacement of the defective transformer.
Taking prompt notice of the complaint, he assured the residents that the issue would be resolved on a priority basis and directed the concerned staff to make arrangements for a replacement transformer.
Under his supervision, a new transformer was arranged and transported to the area overnight.
It was subsequently installed, resulting in the restoration of electricity to Hamid Colony and neighbouring localities.
The restoration brought relief to residents who had been facing severe difficulties due to the prolonged outage. Local residents, including Malik Mazhar Awan, Muhammad Siddique, Zubair Khan and others, expressed gratitude to Superintendent Faqirabad Division Haseeb and the relevant WAPDA authorities for their prompt response.
They said the power outage had added to the difficulties of residents during the intense heat, but the immediate intervention by Superintendent Haseeb helped resolve the problem without further delay.
The residents expressed hope that the electricity authorities would continue to respond promptly to public complaints and take effective measures to ensure a reliable and uninterrupted power supply in the area.
