ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has refused to extend date for filing income tax returns. As per media reports, FBR has made it clear last date for filing income tax return for the year 2025 is September 30, 2025. No extension will be given in this date. It has been said in the clarification from FBR that the media reports about extension in filing income tax return for the year 2025 are baseless and misleading. Rejecting the efforts for linking flood to extension in date has said most of the tax payers have not been affected by flood. They had enough time while the claims of slowness of IRIS System are also wrong. This platform is fully functional. FBR has warned there will be consequences for not filing return till fixed date.
