PESHAWAR
A Federal Constabulary (FC) personnel was shot dead during an snatching incident in Charsadda district, police said on Tuesday.
According to police, the incident occurred in Dildar Garhi area within the limits of Tarnab Police Station, where unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on the FC personnel.
Police said the victim was a resident of Merozai and was reportedly resisting the snatchers when the attackers opened fire. He sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.
Following the incident, police rushed to the site, secured the area and shifted the body to hospital for legal formalities. A search operation has been launched to arrest the suspects.
Police said an investigation is underway and evidence is being collected to identify and apprehend those involved in the fatal shooting.
