Federal cabinet has approved first National Security Policy (NSP).
Fawad Chaudhry while giving briefing to the media men along with Moid Yusuf said Tuesday that NSC is very clear and national security has been linked to national economy.
He held the security of common man will be ensured through NSC. It has taken 9 years in formulating NSC. The policy could not be approved due to lack of consensus in the past.
He held committee has been constituted to probe into murder of Nazim Jokhio.
Briefing was given on Urea to cabinet. Government is placing special focus on agriculture department. Improvement has been witnessed in the production of cotton, sugar cane, rice and other crops. Gas was supplied to fertilizer plant to deal with fertilizer crisis. The price of urea in international market is still more than Pakistan. The price of DAP fertilizer ranges between Rs 1700 to 1900 while it is about Rs 10000 in international market. The farming community accrued additional income of Rs 1100 billion this year due to better production.
He stated that committee has been constituted to probe into murder of Nazim Jokhio by PPP leader. Efforts are underway to save the killer of Nazim Jokhio.
Cabinet has approved appointment of Mehmood Mandiwala as chairman SECP, he said adding approval has also been accorded to appoint board of governors of HBFC.
He held Maualna Fazl ur Rehman is giving dates since the last three years. When PTI came into power then Maulana Fazl had come to Islamabad with junk in the first year of PTI government.
He asked media to come to fore the statements Maulana Fazl ur Rehman has given during the three years. It is impossible for him to pull down the government.
