Federal Minister for Information Fawad Hussain said that federal cabinet expressed serious concern over increasing number of stay orders in courts.
Fawad Hussain also said during media briefing after federal cabinet meeting here Tuesday that a big administrative crisis has emerged due to blockage of trillions of rupees because of these stay orders. There was no other option except to increase petrol prices.
Fawad held that opposition has no courage to oust government. He added that currently no-confidence movement is not in sight rather seeing opposition in jail. Molana Fazl Ur Rehman, Bilawal Bhutto, Maryam Nawaz, Shahbaz are dark signs of past. They have no future. Bilawal and Maryam must start their politics by contesting for Mayor of Lahore.
He further said that opposition had tried 13 times to remove the government but did not succeed. Molana Fazl Ur Rehman, Bilawal Bhutto, Maryam Nawaz, Shahbaz are pressed under their own burden.
JUIF contest from 60-70 constituencies on average. PMLN and PPP are also Divisional parties. They have no value in front of Imran Khan.
Fawad also said that government wants a live telecast of money laundering and other corruption cases of Shahbaz Sharif to aware people how billion of rupees transferred to Shahbaz bank account from peon Maqsood, Masroor Ahsan and Manzoor “Papar Wala”. He added that Minister for State Farrukh Habib shall move a resolution in national assembly in this regard.
Fawad Hussain added that never saw any remarks from PPP ridiculing women. This issue only relates to PMLN. They spread this kind of dirt and had done this with Benazir Bhutto and Nusrat Bhutto in the past. Maryam tweeted in favour of person who was leading this campaign. Maryam is also a woman. She should not support this kind of dirty campaigns because it will damage them the most.
Federal Minister for Information further said that we should give importance to our social values and must act on that. We will take full action against persons initiating these campaigns.
Answering a question, Fawad said that price determination of petroleum products is responsibility of Finance and Petroleum Ministry. We import these products from international market. If prices rise in international market definitely it will result in increase in petroleum prices in Pakistan. Controlling fuel prices for longer is not in the hands of government.
Fawad stated that United Nations General Assembly approved a Pakistani sponsored resolution in which fake news has been declared violation of human rights.
While talking about decisions of federal government, Fawad said that cabinet emphasized on immediate establishment of a forum to discuss important national issues between federal government and judiciary. This forum shall help in reducing unnecessary delay in administrative matters. Important delayed matters include tax cases, investment and stay orders on administrative postings which cause unbearable loss to country.
Fawad informed that presently cases related to 300 trillion rupees of FBR and 250 billion rupees of regulatory authorities are pending in different courts. It will benefit nation and country if period of these stay orders specified.
Federal cabinet showed a serious concern over making false allegations on important personalities especially women and emphasized on legislation to control such acts.
Cabinet approved re-organization of board of directors of State Life Corporation on recommendations of Ministry of Commerce. After this approval, chairman State Life Corporation, representatives of Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Finance shall be included in board of directors as official directors whereas experts of economics Humayon Bashir, Ms. Poro Sadwa, Moeen Foda and Anwar Mansoor Khan shall be included as independent directors.
Cabinet also permitted International company Peugeot to import company cars for testing before starting business in Pakistan.
Fawad also informed that cabinet also allowed to export 34500 metric ton green gram to Afghanistan on humanitarian grounds.
Cabinet also approved agreement with Saudi Arabia regarding delayed payment of loan worth 821.80 million. As per this agreement, payments of almost 4 billion dollars shall be delayed till 2027 which would be utilized for national development.
Cabinet also approved extension in period of internationally issued bonds for economic stability and issued directions to Ministry of Finance and Law to consult for providing administrative and departmental protection to these bonds.
Cabinet also approved posting of Dr. Naveed Hamid as member Monitory Policy Committee for a further period of 3 years.
Cabinet also approved first ever digital cloud policy of Pakistan. This policy shall help in training of manpower, timely use of data for important policy making, effective use of resources and investment in digital sector.
Fawad informed that cabinet has principally approved draft of Personal Protection Bill 2022. Citizens shall get protection of access to their personal information, use, correction and restriction of unauthorized use through this bill. International codes and principles of data protection will be part of this bill. The draft bill shall be sent to Committee for Law.
Cabinet approved appointments in Law and Justice Division on the recommendations of Ministry of Law. Appointment of Justice ® Mian Muhammad Ajmal, Justice® Faisal Arab, Justice® Muhammad Ser Ali and Senior Advocate Syed Ayaz Zahoor was approved in the commission.
Cabinet principally approved establishment of special courts to facilitate overseas Pakistanis and preparation of relevant laws. These laws and courts will help overseas Pakistanis to swiftly deal with ownership cases.
Cabinet also approved appointment of Brig® Taufiq Ahmed in MP-1 scale as Director General National Institute of Electronics.
Cabinet also approved 15% disparity reduction allowance to government employees, FC and Rangers from scale 1-19.
