ISLAMABAD
Protest by federal government employees in Islamabad continued on Friday to press their demands particularly withdrawal of taxes imposed on employees salaries in the budget for the financial year 2024-25.
All the entry and exit points of red zoned were kept closed multiplying the difficulties of the citizens. The employees have announced to continue protest till acceptance of their demands.
They have demanded that difference of salaries of employees of federal government departments be narrowed down, and leave encashment and pension reforms of federal government be withdrawn.
The taxes imposed on salaries in the budget for financial year 2024-25 be withdrawn and better reforms be launched instead of closing and privatizing schools and institutions.
Protection of jobs of government employees be ensured during privatization of institutions. Job be provided to children of employees who die during the service tenure according to court’s decision.
The tyrannical pension reforms be withdrawn.
