Rs 442,000 UAE job fraud
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone has arrested an alleged human smuggler who is accused of taking Rs442, 000 from a citizen on the pretext of sending him to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). An FIA official told media on Thursday that the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Islamabad arrested the accused, identified as Sami Ahmed son of Chaman Mehboob, during an operation. The official said the accused was arrested in FIR No. 123/26, registered under Sections 406, 420, 468 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). According to the allegations, Sami Ahmed received Rs442,000 from the complainant after promising to arrange his travel to the UAE. The official said the accused had been taken into custody and further investigation into the case was underway. DNA
