SHIKARPUR: 15 houses were burnt to ashes in a fire that broke out in Hassan Abad, a suburban village of Shikarpur. The houses that were burnt in a fire were of the Katian community. The residents of the houses could barely leave their houses. The affected people said that the fire brigade had not reached the spot despite repeated calls. “The goods kept in the houses and the dowry kept for children’s marriage was also burnt to ashes,” they added. “Millions of rupees have been lost due to the fire.
