PESHAWAR: A team of FederalInvestigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday arrested five persons involved in illegalbusiness of Hundi/ hawala in Peshawar.According to the spokesperson for theFIA, the arrest was made on the direction of Director Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ZoneMujahid Akbar Khan.He said that a raid was conducted andfound the suspects identified as Muhammad Ullah, Hamza Sharaf, Muhammad Rafiq,Muhammad Yaseen and Sajjad Ghani. The led by Deputy Director CommercialBanking Circle Peshawar Afzal Khan Niazi recovered more than Rs30.2 millions. The team claimed to have seized mobilephones bearing records of illegal monetary transactions from the arrestedpersons.The FIA officials said that cases underthe relevant law have been registered against the suspects.
