Five killed as rain as rain continue to lash KP

As many as five people died and eight more sustained critical injuries due to rain related incidents during the last 24 hours in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Heavy monsoon showers have wreaked havoc in Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Khyber, Tank Dera Ismail Khan and Hazara Division.
The provincial government has also reported that water level has been raised to warning level in Nowshera River, Jandi River, Sardaryab River, Tarbela and Gambia River.
During the same period of time a bridge at Buffa area of Mansehra collapsed and disconnected a large number of populations.
Dozens of villages have been cut off from Mansehra due to the collapse of the bridge collapse incident as it was connecting the population of Buffa Khurd, Buffa Meera and Hafeez Bandi.
The provincial government has initiated relief activities on an emergency basis in the southern districts of Tank and Dera Ismail Khan.
Over the past one week, intermittent rain has been continuing at various places in KP.
According to the rescue officials, various accidents have occurred due to rain in the last 24 hours.
The provincial government has also issued warnings to different areas of the Tank areas.
The areas include Gara Rehman, Pasha Pul, Kadi Akakhel, Kadi Mayani, Total Pump Area, Wazir Nagar, Hassam, Niaziabad and Mandhra.
The rescue officials during its operations at different areas have rescued more than 15 people trapped in the flood.
