LAHORE: A five-member persecution team has been formulated to pursue the Priyantha Kumara case in the Lahore High Court (LHC), a notification issued here stated. Additional Prosecutor General Khurram Khan, Deputy Prosecutor generals Abdul Rauf Wattu, Asmatullah Khan, Asghar Ali and Raye Akhtar Hussain have been included in the persecution team, the notification stated. Secretary Prosecution Nadeem Sarwar said on development that the team consists of best and most professional prosecutors to pursue the case. He said that formation of committee is aimed at provision of timely and accomplished justice to the Kumara’s family. Kumara was a Sri Lankan national, working in a Sialkot based factory, who was killed by an extremist mob over alleged blasphemy. ONLINE
