BUCHAREST
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi reached Romania on Sunday to hold wide-ranging consultations on regional and international issues and give further impetus to the growing cooperation in the context of the European Union (EU).
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who reached Bucharest in the first phase of his three-day visit to Romania and Spain, will stay in Bucharest till Monday on the invitation of Romania’s Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu.
He will visit Spain tomorrow on the invitation of Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares Bueno and will stay there till Wednesday.
Besides meeting with his Spanish counterpart, he will hold talks with other ministers and members of the Spanish Parliament.
The foreign minister’s visit to Romania and Spain will give further impetus to the growing cooperation with these two friendly countries in the context of the European Union (EU).
Earlier, upon arrival at the airport, he was received by Ambassador of Pakistan Dr Zafar Iqbal and senior officials of the Romanian foreign ministry. TLTP
