Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has written a letter to PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto on the matter of making South Punjab as province.
The FM has sought opinion from Bilawal Bhutto on making South Punjab province comprising Multan, DG Khan and Bahwalpur divisions.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi has also asked Biawal Bhutto to nominate two members of his party in the committee constituted for making South Punjab as province.
He went on to say South Punjab province can be made in consultation with and consensus of all parties. This is not demand from one party or one group but it is long outstanding demand of the people. It is my desire that PPP should actively join this demand of the people and inform us of its positive opinion.
Earlier Shah Mehmood Qureshi had sent a letter to Shahbaz Sharif on this matter of creation of South Punjab province.
