PESHAWAR: The food department on Friday suspended licenses and quotas of the four flour dealers’ in the provincial capital for selling flour at exorbitant prices. Advisor to the Chief Minister on Food Mian Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Arbab Jehandad and Food Controller Ration Controller Peshawar Aftab Omar visited the cell points set up in different areas of PK-68 constituency. Expressing anger over non-implementation of official tariff, Mian Khaliq-ur-Rehman suspended the licenses and quotas of four flour dealers and directed the department concerned to take strict legal action against those who sell flour at non-official prices. Talking to the media, Mian Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Food, said that the provincial government was committed to ensure the supply of flour to the citizens at standard and fixed rates. He also directed the flour mill owners to ensure the supply of wheat flour and flour as per the quota otherwise the flour mills would be sealed. DLP Report
