RAWALPINDI
Security forces killed four Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the night of June 3 and 4, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
According to ISPR, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan district after receiving reports regarding the presence of terrorists in the area.
During the operation, troops effectively engaged the militants’ hideout and, following an intense exchange of fire, two terrorists belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij were killed.
In a separate intelligence-based operation conducted in Mohmand district, security forces successfully engaged another group of militants and neutralized two more terrorists.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorists, who were reportedly involved in numerous terrorist activities in the region.
ISPR said sanitization operations were continuing to eliminate any remaining militants in the area. It reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue their counter-terrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” strategy approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
The military reiterated its resolve to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country and ensure lasting peace and stability.
