Free eye camp held in PPC

PESHAWAR: A one-day free eye camp was organized for media personnel and their families in Peshawar Press Club (PPC) with the support of Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) on Wednesday. The members of the PPC and their families’ people suffering from eye diseases thronged the camp. Senior ophthalmologists’ and technicians of the KTH conducted medical examinations of the journalists and their families for eye and vision conditions. Free medicines were given to visitors, and a medical team conducted different eye tests on more than 300 people in the camp, in which many were given medicine and glasses. On this occasion, the press club President Arshad Aziz Malik and other office bearers visited the camp and took information from the doctors and described the camp organized by the health committee of the club as beneficial for the journalists and their families and said that the PPC had always taken practical steps for welfare work, the improvement of journalists. Arshad Aziz Malik thanked all the doctors and management of KTH and said that it was a pleasure to see senior doctors volunteering their time and expertise. Staff Reporter
