Sedition case
ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Shahbaz Gill has challenged in Islamabad High Court (IHC) the trial court decision regarding dismissal of his acquittal plea in sedition case. Shahbaz Gill has also requested the IHC in his petition to halt the proceedings in trial court. He has taken plea in the petition no such material has been given by the prosecution due to which he could be indicted. Trial court order is in violation of article 10-A of the constitution. Shahbaz Gill requested the court that his plea be accepted and he should be acquitted in the case. The proceedings of trial court be also stopped till the final decision on his acquittal plea. District and Sessions Judge court Islamabad had rejected acquittal plea of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill. Additional Sessions Judge Islamabad Tahir Abbas Sipra while rejecting Shahbaz Gill plea decided to indict him. The court said that Shahbaz Gill will be indicted on February 27. It is pertinent to mention here several cases of inciting people against the state institutions are registered against Shahbaz Gill. ONLINE
