ISLAMABAD: The price of gold in the country witnessed a sharp increase on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold rising by Rs13,700 to Rs471,936 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. The price of 24-karat gold for 10 grams increased by Rs11,746 to Rs404,609, while the price of 22-karat gold for 10 grams rose by Rs10,768 to Rs370,905. In the international market, gold was quoted at $4,495 per ounce, up by $137 from the previous session. Meanwhile, the price of silver also witnessed an increase, with 24-karat silver rising by Rs369 per tola to Rs7,169. The price of 24-karat silver for 10 grams increased by Rs317 to Rs6,146, while international silver was quoted at $66.90 per ounce, up by $3.69. APP
