ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in the country edged lower by Rs250 per tola on Friday due to previous day’s dip in prices in the international bullion markets. According to the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association’s (APSGJA) data, the price of one tola of 24-karat gold fell to Rs235,750 from Rs236,000. Similarly, the gold rate for 10 grams of 24-karat reached Rs202,120 from Rs202,330, showing a decrease of Rs210. The gold price for 22-karat was recorded at Rs217,000 against Rs217,370 per tola a session ag0, with a decrease of Rs370. Likewise, the gold rate for 10 grams of 22-karat decreased to Rs185,270 from Rs185,470, with a decrease of Rs200. As of 1415 hours GMT, the gold futures in the international market were available at $1,951.70 per ounce, showing an increase of $10.50 (0.54 percent). Out of the $10.50 per ounce increase, +$2.25 was due to weakening of the US dollar and +$8.25 was due to predominant buyers, according to Kitco Gold Index. TLTP
