PPP Vice president Sherry Rehman has said further hike in the prices of petroleum products will be not acceptable.
“government is going to enhance the prices of petroleum products once again in the month of March under the pretext of hike in the prices of crude oil in international markets”, she said this in her tweet here Friday.
She held the price of crude oil in the international market is 100 dollars per barrel. On the other side the price of petrol in Pakistan is Rs 160 per liter. Further increase in the prices of petrol will not be acceptable.
During PPP regime the price of crude oil in international market was 110 dollar per barrel and price of petrol in the country was Rs 112 per liter. Government should not work out plan to loot the people under the pretext of international market.
She underlined government should not shift the burden of its ineptness and international prices to the masses. People are already embarrassed due to historical price hike in the country.
