Government takes initiatives to provide relief to masses in Ramadan

On the direction of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, the district administration has adopted all necessary initiatives to provide relief to the residents of Khyber in the holy month of Ramadan.
Briefing to the media Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Khyber Noorwali Khan said that on the eve of the Ramadan, on the strict directives of KP government, Sasta Bazaar have been set up in Landi Kotal,Jamrud and Bara and it has been ensured that all necessary edibles will be available in the Bazaar and will be provided to the consumers on subsidize rates as compare to open markets.
Beside the facility, he maintained that the government has formulated scheme to supply necessary items like sugar, flour on subsidize rates to the customers in the sacred month.
He added that a quota of 175 ton sugar each for Landi Kotal and Jamrud while 200 tons of sugar for Bara have been provided to the dealers on the price of 82 rupees per kg and will sell in stalls, set up in Sasta Bazaar at price of 85 rupees.
In the same way, flour will be available in the Bazaar on low price.
ADC Noorwali Khan further said that administration of utility stores have been instructed to guarantee provision of food items in all three divisions of Khyber.
On a query, the high up said that to benefit residents of remote areas of Bazaar Zakha,Tirah, Khel,Shelman,Mulagori etc. of the scheme, the subsidized items will be offered to the honest dealers to facilitate the consumers.
All Assistant Commissioners (ACs) and Additional Assistant Commissioners (AACs) have been asked to have strict check and bring to book those have found violating the law.
He called upon the local trader and shopkeepers to avoid extra profiting in the month of Ramadan and do their business for the betterment of poor masses.
He urged the media persons to join hands with them in the sacred cause and continually visits the Sasta Bazaars and reports it to them in case of violation.
