PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Gulam Ali on Friday congratulated the newly appointed Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza. Governor KP hoped that the newly appointed military leadership will perform its professional duties for the betterment of the country and will play its role in the country’s stability. A statement issued from Governor House Peshawar also appreciated the incumbent federal government for merit based selections. The incumbent government has made the appointment of the Army Chief on merit, adding the development is admirable and commendable, he added. Haji Gulam Ali maintained that the decision will help the government in its efforts to lead the economy toward stability. DLP Report
