Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has dismissed the All Parties Conference (APC) held at the Governor House as a failed attempt to create an anti-PTI narrative.
In a statement, Barrister Saif criticized the initiative, terming it a move for political point-scoring. “Calling an APC is not the mandate of the Governor but that of the elected government,” he asserted.
He urged the Governor, as a federal representative, to focus on securing the province’s financial arrears from the center instead of overstepping into executive matters.
Saif underscored that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is the legitimate chief executive of the province and is fulfilling his responsibilities effectively.
Highlighting the government’s efforts to address the Kurram district situation, Saif praised Gandapur’s leadership.
“The Chief Minister has ensured a ceasefire in Kurram through a government jirga, facilitated the handover of bodies, and delivered life-saving medicines to the district using a helicopter,” Saif stated.
He added that Gandapur had also approved the recruitment of 400 additional police personnel in the region to bolster security.
Saif reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to resolving pressing issues, emphasizing that political grandstanding by the Governor would not distract from PTI’s governance agenda.
