Governor-KP reviews Ouch Canal project progress

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Shah Farman on Friday reviewed progress of Ouch Canal Rehabilitation Project and expressed satisfaction on the so far progress.
Governor KP held a meeting with the secretary Irrigation Department Muhammad Ayaz, Chief Engineer Saeed-ur-Rehman, XEN Mamriz Khan and other concerned officials.
Shah Farman appreciated the overall progress of the department concerned.
The participants of the meeting were informed in the briefing that installation of two more pumps at Warsak Pumps House Jamrud under Ouch Canal Water Rehabilitation Project will be completed in April and June.
Irrigation Department officials said on the occasion that water flow has started in Ouch Canal and at present 128 cusecs of water was flowing in the Canal.
Shah Farman said that installation of two more new pumps at Warsak Pumps House Jamrud should be ensured in April and June this year to ensure supply of required quantity of water in Ouch Canal.
He said that the Ouch Canal Rehabilitation Project was the need of the hour as it was a public project to irrigate a large amount of barren land in the area.
