Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rahman today attended the inauguration ceremony regarding the transfer of land to University of Jhang and inaugurated the building of College of Arts and Science in University of Jhang.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman said that education is fundamental to the development and growth of any nation . He said that the University of Jhang will be a milestone in the development of higher education in the district.
He said that he pays tribute to those who have played a role in bringing the university from a new idea to implementation. The Punjab Governor said that in universities attention should be paid on the moral training of students along with education them with different skills.
He said that technology should be used more in universities so that the young generation can understand the innovation of this era.
Governor Punjab said that the whole nation should help their flood-affected brothers and sisters in this difficult time. He said that he has directed the vice-chancellors of all private and public universities to set up flood relief camps for the flood-afectees, adding that it is very important to inculcate the spirit of community work in students.
Governor Punjab said that he will also talk to the Federal and Punjab government for more grants for the expansion of the University of Jhang and transportation for the students.
