Advisor to the Chief Minister on Information Barrister Dr. Saif has said that in line with the vision of Imran Khan, the provincial government has taken another revolutionary step in the healthcare sector. The decision to include transplant and implant services in Sehat Card program was taken during a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister. The provincial government will now bear the costs of kidney, liver, and bone marrow transplants. Additionally, cochlear implant procedures will also be provided free of cost.
The Advisor added that the rehabilitation of drug addicts will also be included in the Sehat Card program very soon saying that Chief Minister has issued necessary directions to the health department in this regard.
Dr. Saif said that necessary rules and regulations for the use of the cannabis plant for treatment, research, and industrial purposes have also been approved.
