ISLAMABAD: Federal government has decided to import 10 lac metric tons wheat. According to decision the standard of wheat will be fixed in consultation with provinces. The decision to import wheat was taken in the meeting of Federal Wheat Board (FWB). According to authorities matters of availability of wheat, distribution and provincial requirements were reviewed in the meeting. As per media report, it was settled in the meeting that the decision to import wheat be taken keeping in view the overall requirement of the provinces. It was also decided that imported wheat will be distributed equitably as per requirements of the provinces. Online
