Govt delegation assures transparent probe into Dr Mehwish’s Murder

KOHAT: A high-level delegation of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Friday visited the residence of Dr Mehwish, who was recently murdered in Kohat district, and assured her family of a transparent investigation and provision of justice. The delegation included Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan, Provincial Minister for Health Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Provincial Minister Aftab Alam, and MPA Dawood Afridi, Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Moatasim Ballah Shah, the deputy commissioner Kohat, the medical superintendent of DHQ Hospital, and other senior officials. The delegation offered Fateha for the departed soul and expressed heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family. Speaking on the occasion, officials assured the family that all available resources would be utilised to bring the case to its logical conclusion. They said the accused had been arrested and that a full, impartial and transparent investigation was underway. The delegation further assured the family of all possible legal and administrative assistance, stating that justice would be ensured.
