Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that government is making long term policies instead of ad hoc policies for economic prosperity. He said that the economic crisis is result of bad governance and corruption of past governments.
We will not allow anyone to create hurdles in prosperity and progress of country, he said adding that no government institution including Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will disturb our business community. The government will take on board all business stakeholders, he stated.
The Governor Punjab was addressing the 4th LPG and Energy Conference, and “29th Family Con International Conference” Organized by Pakistan Academy of Family Physicians. Provincial Energy Minister Dr Akhter Malik, LPG Association Chairman Irfan Khokhar, Businessman Iftikhar Malik, Arsalan Khokhar, Dr. Tariq Mehmood , Dr Saeed Ahmed, Dr Tahir Ch, Dr Abdul Rehma, Dr Naveed Bhatti, Dr Nahid Nadeem and others were present at occasion.
Chaudhry Sarwar addressing on the occasion said that the former governments looted and plundered national exchequer. Pakistan became bankrupt due to these governments. We inherited economic crisis ridden Pakistan but we made it stable instead of promptly going to IMF for bailout package. He added, foremost priority of government is to reduce national debt and current account deficit.
Prime Minister Imran Khan is taking unprecedented steps for economic revival of country and we are also focusing on providing free health care to poor people. Everyone should contribute towards national progress if Pakistan is to be made prosperous and progressive, he further stated.
He added that we will consider the rightful demands of LPG Association and it was in PTI manifesto to ease the doing of business in Pakistan.
Addressing the International Family Medical Conference, Ch Sarwar said that we need to do extra work for the provision of medical facilities in less developed areas and for that we will follow the recommendations by the Academy of family physicians.
He added that this brings an opportunity for all the international medical experts who joining today conference to share their knowledge, research with other fellows to solve the challenges faced in health sector.
Ch. Sarwar said that there is no precedent how PM Imran Khan is focusing on health issues of poor in country, for the 1st time government servants in Punjab will avail Sehat Card facility for free treatment. “For the strong and prosperous Pakistan all sectors in Pakistan need to work together, this is the only way to move forward.” he concluded.
