The District administration, Khyber demolished scores of government projects after detection of utilizing substandard construction materials in the ongoing schemes in Bazaar Zakha area of tehsil Landi Kotal last day.
On complaint lodged by the locals on occasion of public previous day, the Deputy Commissioner under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner, Landi Kotal, Adnan Mumtaz formulated and an inquiry team, comprised of C&W officials and technical experts
The team visited various construction sites and after thorough examination and test, declared the construction materials poor quality and substandard being used in current government schemes in Bazaar Zakha Khel.
Scores of new built projects including protection walls, spell ways, small overpass etc. were bulldozed with heavy machinery, the administration said.
Deputy Commissioner, Khyber Capt (Retd)Sanullah Khan said that no compromise will be made in negligence of public welfare developing schemes and all uplift projects will be approved as per its PC one.
Under the Integrated Program of Bazaar Zakha Khel, many mega projects are under construction in the area.
The tribesmen lauded the positive initiative of the district administration and said it will curb corruption in government schemes and the schemes will be placed as per its PC one.
