PM demands constitution of full court commission to probe into Wazirabad incident

The government has decided to take legal action against the top leadership of Paksitan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to sources, an important meeting was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The issue of Imran Khan making baseless allegations against the establishment was discussed in the meeting.
Tehreek-e-Insaf’s offensive campaign against senior military leadership and officers was condemned.
The meeting affirmed that Imran Khan responsible for spreading anarchy in the country.
It has been decided in the meeting that legal action will be taken against the top leadership of Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Sources have claimed that Imran Khan and some of his colleagues can be arrested in the light of the evidence and legal opinion.
The important decision was made after the allegations by PTI leadership against the top military officials of Pak Army without any solid evidence.
The Interior Ministry has issued an order to the FIA to take action against PTI on baseless allegations.
Ministry of Law and Ministry of Defense presented the final opinion to the Prime Minister.
On the other hand, the People’s Party also demanded action against Imran Khan for insulting the national security institutions and the forces of Pakistan.
PPP Secretary General Nayyar Bukhari rejected Imran Khan’s baseless and fabricated allegations against the Pakistan Army and said that Imran Khan’s statements are a campaign to appease India.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has request to the Chief Justice of Pakistan for constituting a full court commission to probe into the Wazirabad incident.
Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Saturday evening, the Prime Minister said that he will soon write a letter to the Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan in this regard.
Shehbaz Sharif said he will also request the Chief Justice of Pakistan that the same commission should also investigate the murder of senior journalist, Arshad Sharif.
He said the Federal government will extend complete cooperation to this commission.
He said that the nation deserves the right to know the fact and it is need of the hour to ascertain the reality in order to eradicate anarchy sabotage related activities in the society.
While condemning the politics of Imran Khan, the Prime Minister said Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman has been continuing the malicious campaign against institutions, which is helping to fulfil the enemy’s agenda.
He said Pakistan’s Armed forces have rendered matchless sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
He said the PTI chief is misleading the nation by levelling false allegations, spreading propaganda and speaking blatant lies.
The Prime Minister said the PTI government registered fake cases against its political opponents.
Condemning the Wazirabad incident of firing on PTI’s Long March, the Prime Minister said that the Interior Ministry has been directed to investigate the incident.
He said that as the security of the Long March is responsibility of the Punjab government, however, it is a big question mark that no FIR has been registered so far.
The Prime Minister raised the question that why Imran Khan was taken to Shaukat Khanum Hospital immediately after the Wazirabad incident.
He said extremism in the politics cannot be tolerated and the levelling baseless allegations on institutions should also be stopped.
He said Imran Khan used the killing of senior journalist Arshad Sharif for political objectives and also used religious card against his political opponents.
Shehbaz Sharif also prayed for early recovery of PTI chief Imran Khan and other injured persons.
