LAHORE : Former Speaker National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq has said “ we all are patriotic Pakistani and neither I have any right to call any one traitor nor someone else has any right to call me traitor.
“ We all are patriotic Pakistanis. Neither I have any right to dub any one traitor nor someone else has any right to call me traitor. I stand by my stance. No service was done to Pakistan by linking my statement with armed forces. Differences are there in the politics and they will remain but we are united when Pakistan comes ”, he said this while addressing a public meeting along with Maulana Fazl ur Rehman here Saturday.
“There are all sorts of mindset and thinking prevailing in our society. But we all are patriotic Pakistanis, he stated.
What India wants, it will not succeed in its nefarious designs, he remarked. Our political thinking can be divergent but when Pakistan comes the entire nation is united, he added. We will give the befitting response to India in future like the past.
There can be difference over my stance, he said adding but what attempt has been made to give what color to the political notion it did not benefit Pakistan narrative.
We have immense reservations with the government but they are political differences , he underlined.
He held that they tried to link my statement to armed forces. This was not any service to Pakistan. My statement can be seen and can be heard. I had talked about this government therein. This was read by the government functionaries in wrong manner by pursuing Indian media strategy. This is categorically a conspiracy against Pakistan.
“I will like to say to this inept government to fight the fight what they have to fight . But keep armed forces out of this fight. Banners and posters have been displayed in Lahore and this is no service to the stance of Pakistan. This way you did no justice with Pakistan by playing in the hands of Indian media.
“I stand by stance. I have many secrets. I have been chairman of national security commission of parliament. I have neither given any irresponsible statement nor will I give in future. We are political persons and we have been and will keep on giving statements against our political rivals,
I will ask you people that you should not project this thing. A minister has also given statement but I don’t want to make mention of it because it is not in favor of Pakistan, he held. You should play a positive role and not to publish the statements of those people who want to become part of conspiracy against Pakistan.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said Ayyaz Sadiq has talked seriously and responsibly. But the ruling party tried to raise storm in a cup of tea with reference to his statement. Any one can differ over Ayyaz Sadiq statement but what will you say about a minister statement.
He went on to say this is unequivocal stance of PDM that rigging was done on July 25 and an illegal government was imposed on us and its cabinet is jam of fools. We want country should be run in line with constitution. All the institutions should work within the constitutional parameters. No institution should interfere in the affairs of any other institution.
PDM chairman said government provokes opposition. Crisis are being created in the country. To my view it is sign of doomsday that Muslim leaguers have been declared traitors. We are against the insulting attitudes but no one is beyond criticism. We don’t accept justification of this government.
He disclosed that conspiracy was hatched to break PDM in Karachi. But PDM is still there. The option of resignations to get rid of this government is part of PDM strategy because country has bankrupted economically.
