MULTAN
Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Head Fazl-ur-Rehman said Sunday the incumbent government is waging struggle to rid the country of economic crisis brought about by PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Talking to media persons in Multan on Sunday, Fazl said the economic instability was solely caused by the PTI Chief, who held the reins for almost four years and led the country towards default.
The JUI-F Chief said Pakistan Democratic Movement foiled the designs of Imran Khan by dislodging his government.
He said Imran Khan is doing politics on the anti-corruption narrative but he never took action against its party members involved in corruption.
Maulana Fazl ur Rahman said Imran Khan also damaged institutions, and slowed down the pace of work on China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
He said the incumbent government is making efforts to address inflation by adopting short term policies.
Maulana Fazl demands stern action against audio leak
Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said Sunday while addressing a press conference in Multan that a strict action should be taken against the purported audio leaks related to PML-N leadership.
The PDM chief, who is also the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), said that it was not a suitable time for elections. Maulana Fazl also stressed the need for benefitting from the experience of former finance minister Ishaq Dar. “Imran Khan came to sink the country,” he deplored.
He also added that all four provinces had been affected by the floods. “The federal government has announced Rs70 billion for the flood-hit people,” he stated.
Maulana Fazl remarked that the Transgender Act, passed by the Parliament, was against Islam. “An amendment to the act has been prepared by the experts, and it will be presented in the Parliament soon,” he said.
While answering the questions of reporters, the JUI chief agreed that there was inflation in the country, and he stressed the need for unity to steer the country out of the debt trap.
