GILGIT-BALTISTAN
Haji Gulbar has been elected as Chief Minister (CM) Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
The GB Assembly on Thursday elected Haji Gulbar as new chief minister of the province.
He has been elected as CM with the support of 19 members of GB assembly.
Speaker GB has announced success of Haji Gulbar as CM GB in the polls. Haji Gulbar enjoyed the support of PPP and PML-N.
Haji Gulbar was elected as member of GB assembly in 2020 on PTI ticket. He remained health minister.
Haji Gulbar had remained health minister in PPP led government in 2009. He belongs to district Diamir of GB.
PPP and PML-N had announced to support Haji Gulbar from PTI forward block for the post of CM GB.
The three members of the PTI like-minded group who had submitted their nomination papers for the post of chief minister late at night announced to boycott the election.
