HART launches Lighthouse Journal for research publications

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Higher Education Academy of Research and Training (HART) on Wednesday launched the first official Lighthouse Journal for publishing academic research papers in the field of natural sciences, social sciences, literature and all other categories, said a handout.
Minister for Higher Education Kamran Bangashi while inaugurating the launching ceremony said that HART Hayatabad which is a subsidiary of the department Higher Education Department (HED) achieved another milestone by launching the Lighthouse Journal.
Special Secretary Higher Education Rashid Khan, Director Hurt Tasbihullah and other senior officials participated in the opening ceremony.
Director Hurt Tasbihullah also presented the annual performance report and academic calendar.
Provincial Minister for Higher Education Kamran Bangash congratulated all the officials of the higher education department for this great achievement.
He said that the journal would be managed by the HED and it would be the first of its kind journal across the country.
After the establishment of HEART in 2014, more than 5000 lecturers have been provided training so far, he added and said that during the covid epidemic, Hurt continued its activities online.
Mr Kamran added that the Lighthouse Research Journal will cover all academic categories including natural sciences, social sciences, literature and all other categories.
The Minister for Higher Education maintained that Hurt’s recommendations on educational challenges and their solutions have always followed seriously.
Teachers and degree college students will now be able to publish research papers for free in the above mentioned research journal. Commenting on the annual performance of HEART, Provincial Minister Kamran Bangash said that it is good for HEART to create 4-month training modules for Grade 20 professors.
He said that initially the Lighthouse Journal will be published in three categories. The quality of the Lighthouse Journal published on a half-monthly basis will be maintained.
